  1. I don't have anything to add to the critiques you've already received on your query, but I just have to say: holy hell, this book sounds awesome, and how have I not heard more? Did you finish this before or after The Insect Collector?

  2. Thx Sophia-- I've been keeping quiet about it-- this comes after the Insect Collector. I started it around Feb of this year, I think.

  8. Back from reading your query - LOVED it! I think THIRST is a very unique and compelling story. I think your voice really came through. My only teeny tiny comment would be to think about whether there is an opportunity to edit out some plot details so that we get to the main conflict sooner. Overall, it was great!

  9. Christa and Samantha- thanks so much!
Samantha, you are totally right. I had a few comments that it was more synopsis-y than like a query, and I've taken those to heart.
    Looking forward to your email!
