My sister is on Cake Wrecks

Check out this awesomeness-- my sister makes cakes and has one on Cakewrecks today. I know usually that is not a good thing, but in this case it is.
I'm totally going to have to get her to do this one when my husband turns 40 this year...

Here's the page.

And here's an image of the cake

Also- check out the Pay it Forward project from Shelli at Market My Words. She's offering an introduction to her agent for the winner of this contest.

Very cool. I love the idea of paying it forward, and this is a great way to do it.

  6. SO VERY COOL. I read the cake wreck's book the day before I was picking up my daughter's birthday cake... Yeah I was panicking a WHOLE LOT.

That's awesome and the cake is hilarious

  7. I love cake wrecks! that is so awesome that your sis is on there - in this context :-)

I thought about sending in my son's first birthday cake, which was actually awesome (jungle animals made from chocolate) but they wrote : Happy Birthday "Ethan"

    What's with the inverted commas???

Happy Birthday "Ethan"...if that IS your real name...

  8. EJ- yes, let's revel in the reflected glory!

Funny Erinn, I can see how that would be nerve-wracking! That's like watching Alive before getting on a plane with a South American soccer team. Well, maybe not exactly like that.

Mummazappa, your cake sounds hilarious. Maybe not on the day, but really-- you have to wonder what they were thinking?!

  9. 'Happy Birthday' is so cliche, let's get some honesty on our cakes! I'm not sure how anyone could not smile at a less-than-complimentary cake.
